It is the middle of November,
and students are racking their brains, preparing for midterms.

If only there were a break to free the mind?

"Fall break is a great way to give a break to the students and teachers from the stress of mid terms," said Chelsie Ward, sophomore pre-dental major and senator of the Student
Government Association
(SGA) at Henderson.

Plans for Movie Theater Hit Snag

For the better part of a decade,
rumors have circulated of a new movie theater coming
to Arkadelphia.

Now it seems that this mythic theater is finally being
built, thanks to the City Council of Arkadelphia.

The Royal Theater, named after the original downtown Arkadelphia theater built in 1932, will take over the current
location of Print Mania.

AriAnnah Edwards was shaking.
The freshman business education major, was so nervous
that she had to fight the shaking in order to step up in front of all the eyes that were set upon her, but she felt that she had to do this for herself.

As she opened her mouth, she started to sing "The Way" by Jill Scott.

"The Jazz Singer" gave movies sound. Technicolor added a little color to our flicks. In the 1950s and 1980s, audiences saw an attempt to make films even more interactive with 3D.

Currently, many still see the '50s as the "golden age" of 3D with movies
like "House of Wax" and "Dial M for Murder.

Ask any person who has taken a high school level American history
course about FDR, and almost unanimously you'll hear a response such as: "Of course! That's the guy who got us out of the Great Depression.

Heck of a president, that FDR!" Take a glance at any books of presidential rankings by various historians and political scientists, and you will find him ranked near the top of the pack without fail.

You know what I hate? Bad grammar.
It's certainly one thing to read it on your Facebook wall posts, but worse than that, I feel, is the poor grammar used in text messaging.

Now, I know that SMS stands for 'short messaging system,' but that doesn't mean that one should write nearly unintelligible messages to the world.

Humanity is slowly going down the tubes and everyone
is sad. Only this time, the big guy upstairs is pissed off about it and decides that it's finally time to bring down some holy justice to Earth.
Of course, this brand of justice means sending down angels to possess the weak and bore the audience.

J.D. Salinger, the reclusive and legendary author of the famous book The Catcher in the Rye, died this past Wednesday at the age of 91. Salinger was a secretive and elusive man. Even so, a half a century after his last work was published, he remained an extremely celebrated American author, and his near-extinct presence on the literary world will be greatly missed.

The dorm hallway seems silent. As one passes each door, they hear a multitude of noises ranging from music to video games.

But as one passes Richard Emanuelson's door, they hear the quack of a rubber duck. Normally this would elicit curious glances, but for residents in Sturgis Hall, they know it's just Jake.

Despite any personal feelings
garnered toward Mac computers, even the hardest core of PC users must admit that they produce great computers.

Whether they prefer Windows
to OSX is irrelevant.

The actual devices and computers made by Apple are of high quality, and more importantly they seem to be very in tune with what a user wants.
